Douglas was a surprise pick by Miami in the third round, 75th overall, after mocks and pre-draft projections largely pegged him as a Day 3 pick. He put up 60-877-6 and 54-846-7 at Texas Tech the past two seasons, but he didn't get much playing time at Florida before that, and he'll now turn 23 in September of his NFL rookie campaign. The Dolphins seemingly were attracted to Douglas' combination of size (6-foot-4, 206) and speed (4.39 40 at the Combine), though there was also chatter that he made a strong impression at the Senior Bowl. Whatever the case, Douglas now has a nice opportunity to earn immediate playing time, joining arguably the worst WR room in the league. The Dolphins drafted a higher-upside wideout, Chris Bell, later in the third round, but he's recovering from a late-season ACL tear and may not practice all summer. Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell represent the veteran competition for WR snaps, with Kevin Coleman (2026 fifth round) and Theo Wease (2025 UDFA) being the other youngsters. That's soft competition, but playing time may not add up to much for fantasy in a run-first offense powered by the legs of RB De'Von Achane and QB Malik Willis.
