Tolbert joined a WR-needy Dolphins team on a one-year deal after Miami cut Tyreek Hill and traded Jaylen Waddle to Denver. The 2026 NFL Draft brought rookie third-rounders Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell (who is bouncing back from an ACL injury), plus fifth-rounder Kevin Coleman, to compete with Tolbert, fellow free-agent Tutu Atwell and incumbent Malik Washington. Among the group, Tolbert is arguably the most proven NFL producer, having posted a 49-610-7 line on 79 targets in 2024 with Dallas, though he put up only 203 yards in 2025. If Tolbert is able to develop chemistry with new QB Malik Willis, it wouldn't be out of the question for him to earn a consistent role in Miami's offense in 2026.
