Accuracy isn't the issue for Patterson, who converted a career-high 93.1 percent of his field-goal attempts last season and boasts a lifetime 87.4 percent mark. The problem is opportunity. Miami's sluggish offense simply couldn't generate many touchdowns or field-goal attempts last year. Now entering his sixth NFL season, Patterson will have to compete for his job despite the strong showing in 2025, after the Dolphins signed veteran Zane Gonzalez this offseason. Whoever wins the job is unlikely to offer much fantasy value on a rebuilding team.
