Fantasy Outlook

A 2021 first-round pick, Bateman was widely considered a bust until 2024 when he put up 756 yards and nine touchdowns on 72 targets. It wasn't worth much for fantasy, especially in PPR leagues, but he added a downfield element that helped the Ravens score 30.5 points per game. Things didn't go so well in 2025, with both Bateman and QB Lamar Jackson bothered by injuries (a familiar story). Even when he played, Bateman often went unnoticed or worse, catching just 19 of 38 targets for 224 yards and two TDs (in 13 games). His contract seemingly keeps him safe in Baltimore for another year, but Bateman will have to compete for snaps even if the competition he's up against isn't rock-solid. The Ravens didn't make a splash at WR in free agency, instead settling for third-round pick Ja'Kobi Lane and fourth-round pick Elijah Sarratt, both of whom are at least 6-foot-3. The plan under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle might even entail moving Bateman back to a slot role, which he's done in the past but doesn't necessarily thrive at. Either way, there's not much of a path to serious target volume unless No. 1 receiver Zay Flowers suffers an injury.
