Lane heads to Baltimore as the 80th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, potentially competing with fellow rookie Elijah Sarratt (115th overall) for early playing time. The rookies add much-needed size to a WR room where speed and finesse (Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman) otherwise predominate. Lane never reached 800 yards in a season during his three years at USC, but he scored 12 TDs in 2024 (on 43 catches) and averaged 67.7 yards per game in 2025 (across 11 games). He often produced without creating much separation, instead relying on his length (6-foot-4, 200), leaping ability (40-inch vertical) and strong hands to make contested catches. On a less encouraging note, Lane comes with the usual drawbacks for a tall, thin WR, lacking change-of-direction and YAC skills (though his 4.47 40 at the Combine was a pleasant surprise). It's a skillset that rarely equates to considerable value in PPR leagues, but Lane can at least be a useful red-zone threat for QB Lamar Jackson if he stays ahead of Sarratt on the depth chart.
