The 49ers have gotten just 20 regular-season appearances out of Pearsall since drafting him 31st overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. The start of his career got delayed when he was the victim of a shooting, with Pearsall eventually debuting mid-season and then coming on strong toward the end of his rookie season. He was a popular breakout candidate last year, and looked the part early on with 281 yards on 24 targets over his first three games. Pearsall was having another solid outing in Week 4 when a PCL injury altered his season. He returned for Week 11, but didn't do much until the end of the year, eventually putting up 6-96-0 in Week 15 and 5-85-0 in Week 17 to spark some hope for 2026. There was no report of winter surgery after the injury-plagued campaign, likely setting Pearsall up for a normal offseason and another breakout chance. Of course, the 49ers aren't counting on that alone, having signed Mike Evans to replace Jauan Jennings.
