Fantasy Outlook

A collarbone fracture was the main reason Evans lost his 1,000-yard streak last year, but it was far from the only thing that went wrong in Tampa Bay. The 6-foot-5 wideout decided to jump ship this offseason, reportedly even leaving money on the table to join forces with Kyle Shanahan and Brock Purdy in San Francisco. Evans technically signed a three-year contract, but it's just one season and $14.3 million for practical purposes. He's wisely taking things year to year, heading into his age-33 campaign while playing outside of Tampa for the first time in his pro career. It's not hard to envision Evans doing big things, now playing in an offense where far lesser players have found fantasy success. The favorable setup gives him a chance to get back to 1,000-plus yards and double-digit touchdowns, but there's also considerable downside risk when dealing with any 33-year-old, especially one coming off an injury-plagued season. Evans should get plenty of chances to strut his stuff early in the 2026 campaign, given that TE George Kittle is coming back from an Achilles tear and WR Ricky Pearsall remains somewhat of an unknown.
