2026 Fantasy Outlook
Tonges didn't have a catch in his NFL career heading into 2025, but the 26-year-old TE stepped up when George Kittle missed time due to injuries in 2025, and Tonges is likely to begin the 2026 campaign as San Francisco's top pass-catching TE if Kittle's recovery from a January Achilles tear lingers into regular season. Tonges racked up 29 catches for 269 yards and three TDs in the six games Kittle missed in 2025. He had only five catches in 11 other games, but two of those went for TDs, and San Francisco's QBs posted a passer rating of 126.4 when targeting Tonges. The 6-foot-4, 240-pound TE is an appealing early-season fantasy option as the next man up given the uncertainty over Kittle's availability, but Tonges is unlikely to contribute much if Kittle makes a full recovery.
