Pineiro led all qualified kickers with a 96.6 field-goal percentage last season, pushing his career rate up to 89.7 percent, good for second on the all-time list. He was even fantasy relevant -- for the first time in his career -- after spending one season with the Bears, one with the Jets and three with the Panthers. In San Francisco last year, Pineiro vaulted to seventh among kickers in fantasy points per game, benefitting from the team's efficient offense. He made six of seven tries from 50-plus yards, pushing his career record from long range to 17-of-21, though he doesn't have one of the stronger legs in the league. It's hard to rank among the fantasy leaders without piling up those long-range attempts, but Pineiro should remain startable behind PATs and shorter kicks as long as the San Francisco offense squeaks out another strong year from its aging core.
