Fantasy Outlook
Etienne left Jacksonville for New Orleans in free agency following an up-and-down but mostly impressive five years with the Jaguars. By most accounts, Etienne's exit from Jacksonville was more about money than any specific desire to replace him. The former Clemson star was Jacksonville's main engine from scrimmage in 2025, turning 260 carries into 1,107 yards and seven touchdowns while catching 36 of 52 targets for 292 yards and six TDs. At around 5-foot-11, 215, Etienne has just enough mass to project as a workhorse, but he wins with vision and agility rather than power, and he doesn't have a great track record of durability. For Etienne to push for mainstream RB1 utility, he'll likely need to gain ground with big plays and receptions, as he's unlikely to pile up huge rushing numbers between the tackles. Alvin Kamara reportedly hopes to play another season for the Saints, but he'd likely be returning as just a backup or passing-down specialist, not as the 1B to Etienne's 1A. If Etienne is peeling off 40-yard carries, scoring touchdowns and catching passes, he could push for the top 12 at his position without amassing huge rushing volume.Saints Lineup
