Delp was drafted by the Saints in the third round, 73rd overall. The 6-foot-5, 245-pound rookie TE out of Georgia will be fighting an uphill battle for playing time behind veteran TEs Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant, who have combined for 194 appearances and 134 starts at the NFL level. Delp ran an impressive 4.49-second 40-yard dash at Georgia's Pro Day, but he didn't exceed 284 receiving yards in any of his four NCAA seasons, so his receiving upside is based more on traits than production.
