Cousins took over the starting job in Atlanta midseason last year after Michael Penix suffered a season-ending knee injury. Cousins looked well past his prime, breaking 200 passing yards just twice in his eight starts and finishing near the bottom of the league in most passing categories, including completion percentage (27th), on-target percentage (29th), YPA (29th) and average target depth (28th). He signed this offseason with Las Vegas, where the plan is for No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza to start his career on the bench. Despite signing Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum, the Raiders may lack confidence in their offensive line, and Cousins can at least be relied upon to handle the playbook of new coach Klint Kubiak, who worked for the Vikings during some of Cousins' best years. Outside of running back Ashton Jeanty and tight end Brock Bowers, the skill-position talent in Las Vegas is lacking, so it won't be easy for Cousins to put up big passing numbers. With no rushing stats to prop up his fantasy scoring, Cousins looks like nothing more than a short-term, low-end QB2, keeping the seat warm for Mendoza for an unknown length of time.
