2026 Fantasy Outlook
Wentz re-signed with Minnesota this offseason, giving the Vikings an experienced veteran presence in a quarterback room expected to feature a competition between Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy. Max Brosmer also remains on the roster, but Wentz appears to be the clear frontrunner for the No. 3 role and could even emerge as the top backup depending on how the battle between Murray and McCarthy unfolds. In five regular-season appearances while filling in for an injured McCarthy in 2025, Wentz completed 65.1 percent of his passes for 1,216 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions. Wentz's familiarity with the system and starting experience provide Minnesota with a steady insurance option if needed.
