Pierce has seen his usage and production steadily decline after his surprising rookie season in 2022 with the Texans. Last year was the nadir, as he saw action in only five regular-season games split between Houston and Kansas City and was given just 14 carries. Pierce sports a solid profile as an early-down back and has broken plenty of tackles since entering the NFL, but his lack of speed or reliable passing-down skills limits his utility. The Florida product signed a one-year contract with the Eagles this offseason, and he'll compete for depth snaps behind Saquon Barkley with Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley. Bigsby and Pierce have similar builds and skill sets, and there might be room for only one of them on the roster as an occasional short-yardage option whenever Barkley needs a breather.
