Smartt will battle for a roster spot with the Eagles this offseason after making seven catches in 15 regular-season games for the Jets in 2025. The 6-4, 226-pound tight end did step up amidst a rash of injuries at the position with the Chargers in 2024 with a 11-141-0 line from Weeks 14-16. He's been limited primarily to special teams both before and after that stretch, though, and Smartt may find difficulty climbing a TE depth chart that also includes Dallas Goedert, rookie second-rounder Eli Stowers and Grant Calcaterra.
