Gonzalez has kicked for five teams since entering the NFL in 2017, making 33 or fewer appearances for each of those clubs. He played just six games total from 2022 to 2024, but Gonzalez took full advantage when the Falcons gave him a shot last season. He made 19 of 22 field-goal attempts and 17 of 18 PATs, notably going 7-for-9 on tries of 50-plus yards. The result was a No. 4 finish in terms of fantasy points per game, albeit across just half of a season (nine games). NFL teams apparently weren't too convinced by the small-sample success, as Gonzalez had to settle for $100,000 guaranteed on a one-year contract with the Dolphins. He'll compete with incumbent Riley Patterson, who was one of the few bright spots in Miami last year.
