There weren't many expectations for Krejci when he was a second-round pick back in 2020, but he ended up being a solid player for Atlanta. The Czechian became a regular part of the Hawks rotation over the last three years, averaging 22 minutes a night in that span. He also had a career-high 8.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.0 threes per game last year. That sharpshooting is what made him valuable in Atlanta, but he's now playing for Portland after an offseason trade. That's not a great landing spot for anyone right now because they've quietly developed one of the deepest rosters in the NBA. Ja Morant and Damian Lillard are expected to swallow up some serious minutes while guys like Deni Avdija, Jrue Holiday, Toumani Camara and Donovan Clingan are expected to resume their 30-minute roles. That leaves very little on the table for anyone else, with Krejci looking like the primary bench wing. The one silver lining is that this is the weakest position on this roster, and it could lead to Krejci playing 20 minutes a night off the bench. Shooting will always be valued in the NBA, and that alone will give Krejci a chance to have a role in this rotation.
