Coming off a lost 2024-25 campaign in which he suffered a fractured right leg and dislocated right ankle just three games in, Hendricks' role and performance with the Jazz were inconsistent to start last season. Across 33 appearances (six starts) with the club, the forward averaged 4.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.2 blocks in 14.9 minutes per contest while shooting 45.3 percent from the field and 34.3 percent from beyond the arc. After being traded to the Grizzlies at the trade deadline as part of the Jaren Jackson deal, Hendricks earned a larger role and saw his counting stats tick up. The 2023 first-round pick averaged 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks in 24.1 minutes while shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 34.2 percent from three-point range across 26 games (11 starts) with Memphis. Entering 2026-27, the 22-year-old is in the final year of his contract. Cameron Boozer, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, figures to start at power forward, but Hendricks' solid play down the stretch last year could give him the inside track to serve as Boozer's top backup, though Isaiah Stewart and GG Jackson will also be vying for minutes off the bench. Hendricks could be a key reserve for the Grizzlies, but barring Boozer missing time and an opportunity in the starting lineup emerging, his fantasy viability is questionable at best.
