Boozer was taken with the third overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, and yet is viewed by many as the most fantasy-friendly rookie. In eight appearances across the various Summer League competitions, Boozer did nothing to sway that opinion, averaging 16.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.6 three-pointers in 28.6 minutes per game. Part of the reason for the optimism is the fact that he should land a significant role out of the gate, playing for a team with a lot of incentive to have him on the floor as much as possible. He should begin the season as the starting power forward, playing upwards close to 30 minutes per contest. While there is a chance he could be managed down the stretch, all indications are that he will slot straight into an alpha role, providing managers with some assurance when it comes to targeting him in drafts. Early indications are that his ADP should be somewhere in the seventh or eighth round, although any amount of hype could see that number increase.
