Spencer took advantage of a favorable situation during the 2025-26 season, averaging 11.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.0 three-pointers in 23.8 minutes per game. Despite coming off the bench for the majority of the season, he managed to carve out a consistent role, thanks mostly to the fact that both Scotty Pippen and Ty Jerome were injured for a significant portion, while Ja Morant was in and out of the rotation for multiple reasons. Even though Morant is no longer part of the rotation, both Pippen and Jerome are presumably healthy heading into the 2026-27 season. Javon Small and Walter Clayton will also be putting their hands up for more playing time, making the backcourt rotation a tough one to project. However, what is clear is that there is almost no way Spencer will exceed what he did last season, making him a non-factor in most standard leagues, at least to start with.
