Reed delivered excellent per-minute production for Detroit in 2025-26, averaging 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting a career-best 61.7 percent from the field in only 13.9 minutes per game across 65 regular-season appearances (11 starts). Reed remains with the Pistons after signing a two-year, $11 million contract in 2025, and he's currently positioned as one of Detroit's primary center options entering 2026-27. His fantasy appeal has always been driven by his strong rebounding and defensive production on a per-minute basis, but consistent playing time has been difficult to find. Detroit's frontcourt underwent significant changes with Isaiah Stewart and Tobias Harris departing, though Jalen Duren's restricted free agency and the addition of John Collins leave the exact rotation somewhat unsettled. Reed could become a worthwhile waiver-wire option if his workload climbs into the 20-minute range, but for now he's better suited to deeper formats than standard drafts. He's a potential waiver-wire pickup in redraft leagues, but on draft day, it's better to leave him out of your team if you're playing in standard 12-team or 14-team leagues.
