After averaging 11.8 points per game in the 2024-25 season, Duren took a significant leap on the offensive end in 2025-26. The big man saw his usage rate climb considerably and averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks across 28.2 minutes per contest in 70 regular-season appearances. The 2022 first-rounder did take a slight step back on the defensive end, as his 1.6 combined steals-plus-blocks last season represented a decrease from the previous year. He also shot 65.0 percent from the field and has yet to shoot less than 61.9 percent in his career. However, the 22-year-old wasn't as productive in the playoffs, during which he averaged 10.2 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 51.4 percent from the floor. Duren is a strong points-league player, though he doesn't offer much value in categories outside points, rebounds and field-goal percentage. He's still a restricted free agent entering training camp, though it appears more likely than not he'll remain with Detroit, whether on a new deal or a qualifying offer. Duren is a viable pick in the early-to-mid rounds of fantasy drafts, and he could return significant value if he's able to maintain his offensive production while chipping in a bit more defensively.
