For the second season in a row, Huerter was involved in a midseason trade just before the deadline. This time, he went from the Bulls to the Pistons, although he filled the same role for both teams as a three-point specialist who could stretch the floor. Huerter averaged 10.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 44 games with the Bulls before joining the Pistons at the trade deadline, where he settled into a complementary backcourt role, averaging 8.6 points per contest and making just 29.4 percent of his threes. Huerter's fantasy profile has changed little throughout his career, but the drop-off in three-point efficiency is concerning, as he has shot under 36.5 percent from deep in each of the last three seasons and made a career-worst 30.8 percent of his threes in 2025-26. Detroit's young core should continue generating open looks for him, although his usage is unlikely to increase dramatically. Huerter remains a viable late-round option in deeper formats, particularly for managers seeking efficient perimeter shooting, but he's unlikely to provide enough across-the-board production to be a must-roster player in standard leagues, especially given the downward trends he's shown over the last three seasons.
