Having spent the entirety of his career as a backup, Reid may finally get an opportunity to show off his skills as a permanent starter following an offseason trade to Charlotte. Fresh off back-to-back top 100 seasons, Reid should slot in as the starting power forward in Charlotte, especially now that Miles Bridges has been traded to Phoenix. Reid closed as the 91st-ranked player last season, averaging 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 three-pointers and 2.0 combined steals and blocks in 26.1 minutes per game. As a starter, he will almost certainly flirt with 30 minutes per game, leaving us in uncharted waters when it comes to his overall fantasy value. Having always been a relatively safe target anywhere after pick 100, managers are going to have to reach a little higher this season. With that said, he is largely unproven as a full-time starter, meaning he does come with a small amount of risk. Those interested in acquiring his services will likely have to start considering him in the sixth round of most drafts.
