Fantasy Outlook

A quad injury limited McLaurin to 10 games last season, ending his four-year streak of playing all 17 games. It was a tumultuous year, starting in the summer with McLaurin's brief holdout and trade request -- coming on the heels of his 2024 career highs for touchdowns (13) and catch rate (70.1 percent). He eventually signed a three-year extension after missing all of training camp, but a quad injury in Week 3 torpedoed his season. The good news? McLaurin was reasonably productive when available, recording at least three catches and 41 yards in all but one of his 10 appearances. He averaged a respectable 12.7 PPR points in seven games after the injury, despite playing fewer snaps than usual while mostly catching passes from backup quarterbacks. McLaurin even finished seventh among WRs with 2.55 yards per route, up from 2.32 YPRR during his 2024 career year. The Commanders now expect Jayden Daniels to return healthy for spring practices, working under new offensive coordinator David Blough, who said in February that he wants McLaurin to get "10 targets a game." The number may not be realistic, considering McLaurin hasn't averaged even eight targets since 2020, but the 30-year-old does figure to see plenty of looks in an offense that's settled for modest offseason additions so far.
