Fantasy Outlook
Cast off by Minnesota, Darnold proved doubters wrong last season, leading the Seahawks to the Super Bowl title and ranking second in the league with a career-high 8.5 YPA. He slid out of the fantasy QB top 10 because he had fewer pass attempts and 10 fewer TD passes than in 2024, but he was just as accurate and efficient, and few were as effective throwing deep. Darnold completed 52.3 percent of his attempts of 20-plus yards, higher than anyone with more than 25 such attempts, and had a league-high 19.4 YPA and eight touchdowns (3rd) on deep passes. Darnold's only flaw was his league-high 20 turnovers (14 TD, 6 fumbles lost), though he reined that in a bit in the second half of the season (and had a turnover-free postseason). Darnold could get more red-zone opportunities with Kenneth Walker now in Kansas City and Zach Charbonnet out after late-February ACL surgery. Seahawks running backs led the league with 85 rushes and 16 TD runs in the red zone last season, including a league-high 14 inside the 10-yard line. Some of that could turn to passes this season. First-round pick RB Jadarian Price needs to get up to speed quickly to keep the offense from becoming one-dimensional, and while new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury brings continuity as another Kyle Shanahan disciple after Klint Kubiak left for Las Vegas, he's never called plays. Reigning Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba returns, but it's murky thereafter. Cooper Kupp is aging, Darnold never seemed in sync with Rashid Shaheed last year and the promising Tory Horton missed half last season with injury. The offense has some questions to answer, but Darnold is a safe QB2.Seahawks Lineup
