Taylor showed some flashes of promise in his rookie campaign, as the 2025 second-round pick led a putrid Jets offense with 44 catches and finished second on the team with 369 receiving yards. That production came across 13 games, as Taylor missed the final four games of 2025 due to a neck injury, which has since healed. The Jets' QB situation was so bad that Taylor's only touchdown came on a pass thrown by RB Breece Hall. The offseason acquisition of Geno Smith provides a sizable upgrade under center, but the Jets drafted TE Kenyon Sadiq 16th overall and WR Omar Cooper 30th overall, so Taylor is unlikely to finish higher than fifth on the team in touches behind Hall, Sadiq, Cooper and WR Garrett Wilson.
