Edgecombe was one of a handful of rookies who stood tall during the 2025-26 season, finishing as the 60th-ranked player, averaging 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in 35.0 minutes per game. After exploding for 34 points in his career-debut, Edgecombe put fantasy managers on notice. While there were some ups and downs, on the whole, Edgecombe closed the season as one of the best value picks across all formats. Although his arrow is pointed firmly in the right direction in terms of his career trajectory, the addition of Jaylen Brown and LeBron James is almost certainly going to limit his opportunities this season. During his rookie campaign, Edgecombe often served as the second or third option. However, if he remains in the starting lineup this season, there is a chance he drops to fourth or even fifth on the pecking order. He should be able to maintain fantasy value throughout the course of the season, albeit lesser value than what managers would have been hoping for. At this point, he should make for a viable target after pick 100, keeping in mind that his ceiling has been lowered.
