Champagnie enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2025-26, locking down a full-time starting role for the Spurs while averaging 11.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 steals across 82 regular-season contests, including 68 starts. He also shot 38.1 percent from beyond the arc, so his ability to stretch the floor and hit outside shots turned out to be key for a Spurs team that had several ball-dominant scorers at all times on the court. The Spurs quickly rewarded that growth by signing Champagnie to a three-year, $45 million extension, solidifying him as part of the franchise's long-term core around Victor Wembanyama and its young backcourt of Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper. Champagnie's fantasy profile isn't flashy, but it's dependable. He contributes efficient scoring, strong three-point shooting and useful steals without requiring high usage, though San Antonio's wing depth naturally limits his offensive ceiling. Managers in category leagues should view him as a solid late-round option whose efficiency and secure role provide a relatively safe fantasy floor, but his upside won't be any higher than that.
