Despite the team success, Fox took somewhat of a backseat last season, finishing just inside the top 80 in nine-category leagues. He averaged 18.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.8 three-pointers, well down from what he had done in the previous few seasons. Although he is still only 28 years of age, it would appear as though Fox is prioritizing winning over personal production, a fact that shouldn't be lost on fantasy managers. San Antonio will almost certainly be in the title discussion again this season, ensuring Fox should maintain a consistent role moving forward. However, the ascension of players like Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper does raise a couple of questions about how much the team will utilize Fox. At this stage, he is pencilled in as the starting point guard. With that said, it wouldn't be surprising to see Fox, Castle and Harper basically split the playing time next season, which could result in Fox playing no more than about 30 minutes per game. If this is the case, managers will want to ensure they aren't reaching too high to secure him in drafts. If we consider the top 50 to be his ceiling, landing him in the sixth or seventh round feels relatively safe.
