Vassell settled into more of a complementary role during the Spurs' 2025-26 season, which saw the team reach the 2026 NBA Finals, averaging 13.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.2 three-pointers across 30.5 minutes in 67 regular-season games. While he remains one of San Antonio's best perimeter shooters and defenders, the emergence of Victor Wembanyama as a perennial MVP candidate, De'Aaron Fox's arrival, and the presence of both Devin Harper and Stephon Castle have reduced Vassell's offensive ceiling. He's still capable of providing efficient scoring, solid three-point production and respectable defensive numbers without hurting percentages, but his days as a potential top-60 fantasy asset appear to be behind him unless injuries elevate his usage, as he's no longer a go-to option on offense in San Antonio. Vassell should continue to see consistent starter-caliber minutes on a championship-caliber roster, making him a reliable mid-round option for managers seeking balanced production rather than elite upside, but he has an established ceiling and not a lot of upside compared to some of his teammates in San Antonio.
