Coming off a title run in his first season with Oklahoma City, Caruso's role as a glue guy off the bench remained the same during the 2025-26 campaign, posting 6.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 18.2 minutes per contest across 56 regular-season appearances. The Texas A&M product dealt with a few miscellaneous injuries that forced him to miss time, though no single injury forced him to miss more than six consecutive games. In 15 postseason contests, the 32-year-old averaged 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals in 23.3 minutes per tilt. His shooting efficiency dropped to 42.3 percent from the field and a career-worst 29.3 percent from beyond the arc in the regular season, though those marks improved to 47.8 percent from the field and 44.6 percent from deep in the playoffs. Caruso is lauded for his defensive capabilities and much of his value to the Thunder is tied to his efforts on that end, though that real-life value doesn't consistently transfer to fantasy production. The departures of Luguentz Dort, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins during the offseason have cut into some of Oklahoma City's depth, though a notable boost in minutes and usage is unlikely for Caruso. Improved production from three-point range would make him more appealing, but in general, Caruso is a fairly known commodity who can be counted on to rack up steals while possessing a limited ceiling as a fantasy contributor.
