Lutz has spent most of his nine-year career on good teams, but the fantasy value he established in New Orleans hasn't carried over to Denver. Over the past three seasons, Lutz finished 22nd, 11th, and 23rd among kickers in fantasy points per game. Denver's altitude doesn't help quite as much as playing inside a dome, and the Broncos simply don't reach scoring range as often as the Brees-era Saints did. It's also worth noting that Lutz doesn't possess one of the league's stronger legs, and head coach Sean Payton has never been overly aggressive about attempting deep field goals. Still, there's a path for Lutz to be startable in fantasy on the basis of sheer volume, especially if the Broncos pick up where they left off last year as one of the AFC's better teams.
