Stidham hasn't made a regular-season start since the 2023 campaign, but the 29-year-old backup was thrust into action for last season's AFC Championship Game against the Patriots after Bo Nix broke his ankle. Stidham's poor play, coupled with some questionable coaching and officiating, cost the Broncos a trip to the Super Bowl, as he threw for only 133 yards to go with two costly turnovers. Nix is expected to be ready for training camp, and while Stidham should remain the next man up over Sam Ehlinger, expectations would be low for Denver's passing game if Nix were to get hurt again, even with the offseason addition of talented WR Jaylen Waddle.
