Fantasy Outlook

Kelce mulled retirement for a second consecutive offseason before ultimately deciding to return for a 14th season with Kansas City. The 36-year-old no longer produces position-leading numbers, but he's at least remained serviceable for fantasy, finishing 2025 ranked fourth among tight ends in both receiving yards (851) and targets (108). Kelce has averaged 886 receiving yards over the past three campaigns, after reaching 1,000 in each of the preceding seven seasons. Meanwhile, his 13 touchdown receptions over the past three years are the lowest of any three-year span of his career (if you exclude his one-game rookie campaign in 2013). Despite that drop-off, Kelce has mostly kept his every-down role while serving as the top alternative to Rashee Rice when the Chiefs want to throw a short pass (which is often). Of course, KC's entire offense would face a major downgrade if star QB Patrick Mahomes (ACL) were to miss time at the beginning of the regular season. Things otherwise set up well for Kelce to maintain value, especially in PPR leagues, with the Chiefs still lacking major threats at WR alongside Rice.
