Worthy famously broke the Combine record with a 4.21 40 in 2024, but his raw speed and explosiveness (41-inch vertical, 131-inch broad jump) haven't translated to frequent long gains in the NFL. As a rookie, he at least scored nine total TDs (three rushing) in the regular season and put up 19-287-3 across three playoff games. The strong finish to 2024 made him a top breakout candidate for 2025, with extra hype due to Rashee Rice's six-game suspension to start the season. Go figure that Worthy dislocated his shoulder on his third snap of Week 1. He came back in Week 4 to put up 83 receiving yards and 38 rushing yards, but both marks proved to be season highs by a wide margin, with Worthy subsequently recording 11 straight games in which he scored more than five PPR points but fewer than 12. He had just one TD across 14 games, and on passes 20-plus yards downfield, he caught only four of 16 targets for 137 yards. His shoulder was part of the problem, but strength and size were already shortcomings for the 165-pound wideout. While perhaps ill-suited to take on big-time volume, Worthy is only 23 years old and still seems to have organizational backing with not much else besides him and Rice on Kansas City's depth chart at wide receiver.
