Gray had just 178 yards and failed to score a TD in 2025, regressing after a five-TD 2024 campaign which has accounted for more than half of his nine receiving touchdowns through five NFL seasons. With Travis Kelce having opted to continue his career in Kansas City, Gray will be relegated to backup duties again in 2025. Kelce turns 37 in October, but durability hasn't been an issue for the future Hall-of-Famer, as he hasn't played fewer than 15 games in a season since his rookie campaign in 2013. Gray faces minimal competition for the No. 2 TE role, so he remains the next man up should Kelce miss any action.
