Fantasy Outlook
After three seasons with Arizona as a successful UDFA find out of TCU, Demercado signed a one-year deal with Kansas City in March to join the AFC West club's revamped backfield. While scouts didn't spot any standout traits in Demercado in college, he's proven to be hard to bring down in the NFL, averaging 3.0 yards per carry after contact during his career, a mark that would have ranked among the 2025 league leaders like De'Von Achane if he's seen enough volume to qualify. Injuries have been an issue for Demercado, as he has yet to play more than 14 regular-season games in a season, but he's displayed a versatile three-down skill set and some serious big-play ability as he has five career carries of 40 yards or more. In Kansas City, he'll battle rookie Emmett Johnson for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart behind free-agent signing Kenneth Walker, and Demercado could benefit from Andy Reid's aptitude for scheming players into open space.Chiefs Lineup
