Fantasy Outlook

Schultz set career highs with 82 catches and 106 targets in 2025, and he was just 31 yards short of his career-high 808 from 2021, which came back in his Dallas days. The 6-foot-5 TE scored only three TDs last year, though, and he has been limited to five touchdowns over the past two seasons after racking up 18 across the preceding three campaigns. Nico Collins remains the alpha among Houston's pass catchers, while Tank Dell and 2025 second-round pick Jayden Higgins are both candidates to take on more targets, but Schultz should continue to serve as a dependable chain-mover for C.J. Stroud. The Texans drafted TE Marlin Klein 59th overall, but Klein had just one TD in 36 games at Michigan and is unlikely to challenge for Schultz's starting role. Over the past six seasons, split evenly between the Cowboys and Texans, Schultz has averaged 657 receiving yards and missed only four games. That dependability is valuable, though Schultz looks unlikely to reverse his recent lack of TDs barring a change in Houston's offensive approach, as he has drawn only eight targets inside the opposing 10-yard line over the past two campaigns.
