A third-round pick in this year's draft, Beck likely will back up Jacoby Brissett in Arizona, though the Cardinals said it will be a three-way competition with Gardner Minshew in the mix as well. At Miami last season, Beck threw for 30 TDs and reached the National Championship Game, but all three of the Hurricanes' losses were directly linked to ugly interceptions in crunch time. He's at his best when he plays in rhythm and gets the ball out quickly; bad things tend to happen when he holds it too long. At 6-foot-5, 233, Beck has an ideal frame, but his arm strength wasn't great even before 2024 UCL surgery. He completed 69.8 percent of passes in three years as a starter at Georgia and Miami, but his deep-ball accuracy was inconsistent. After a six-year college career with 43 starts, Beck will turn 25 midway through his rookie season, hinting at a shorter learning curve but limited long-term upside. If he gets a chance to start, he'll at least have a talented group of weapons in TE Trey McBride, RB Jeremiyah Love, WR Marvin Harrison and WR Michael Wilson. Even so, Beck is unlikely to offer much fantasy value, profiling as a game-manager QB with minimal running ability.
