Mamukelashvili heads into 2026-27 with the Lakers after changing teams again in free agency, and he's hoping a fresh opportunity translates into a more consistent rotation role. Throughout his career, he's shown impressive per-minute production thanks to his ability to stretch the floor, facilitate from the elbows and score from multiple areas of the court. However, he's set to open the 2026-27 campaign strictly as a frontcourt backup behind the likes of Jake LaRavia, Walker Kessler, Kevon Looney and even possibly Jarred Vanderbilt, depending on lineup combinations. Mamukelashvili will add depth to the Lakers' frontcourt, but he shouldn't carry a ton of fantasy appeal, especially since he's not likely to repeat his 2025-26 numbers in Toronto, where he averaged 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game while logging a career-high 21.9 minutes per game. He's likely to hover around 15 minutes per contest in 2026-27, reducing his impact considerably.
