Looney played just 21 games for the Pelicans last season, the majority of which came during the first month. He finished the season as the 343rd-ranked player, averaging 2.8 points and 5.6 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game. As we enter the 2026-27 season, Looney now finds himself in Los Angeles, where he will serve as a backup option behind Walker Kessler. Given the lack of depth at the center position, there is a chance Looney could at least play a more consistent role for the Lakers, albeit one that tops out at about 18 minutes per game. Outside of being a potential streamer for rebounding purposes, Looney is unlikely to hold any real fantasy value.
