Rollins finally broke through in his fourth NBA season, locking down the Bucks' starting point guard job during a lost season. With the Bucks shorthanded almost all season, Rollins posted career-best averages of 17.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.5 three-pointers per game, while shooting an efficient 47.2 percent from the floor, 40.6 percent from deep and 79.6 percent from the line. The offseason only accelerated Milwaukee's rebuild, as the Bucks shipped Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami for a package headlined by Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez and Kasparas Jakucionis, along with three first-round picks, a second-rounder and a swap. They added rookies Brayden Burries (their own No. 10 pick) and Nate Ament, who arrived via Miami's No. 13 selection from the Giannis trade. All of that youth and draft-pick hoarding points to a longer-term teardown, and it puts Rollins squarely in a crowded backcourt mix for 2026-27, with Herro now the presumptive top-scoring option while Kevin Porter and a returning Gary Trent jockey for minutes. Still, Rollins enters the season just 24 years old with a full year of lead-guard reps behind him, and his blend of scoring, passing and defensive activity should keep him entrenched in the starting lineup even as Milwaukee's frontcourt and wing rotations get sorted out. The efficiency gains from a year ago look sustainable given his volume from three, and with Herro likely to draw defensive attention as the go-to scorer, Rollins should continue to see enough usage to remain a four-category contributor. He profiles as a solid mid-round pick who can return top-75 value if the assist and steal numbers hold, with additional upside if the Bucks lean on him as a secondary shot-creator in an offense still figuring out its pecking order.
