After being traded from Oklahoma City to Milwaukee midway through the 2025-26 season, Dieng managed to carve out a sizable role over the final two months. In 28 appearances during that time, he averaged 11.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.4 three-pointers in 27.7 minutes per game. However, by shooting just 41,8 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the line, his overall rank in that span was outside the top 300. He certainly flashed some upside down the stretch, at least putting him on the radar as a viable fantasy asset. Coming into the 2026-27 season, Dieng is likely to be in the rotation. The question is, what exactly does his role look like, given the offseason acquisitions of players such as Jaime Jaquez, Tyler Herro and Kel'el Ware. With that amount of uncertainty, managers should view Dieng as a possible last-round flyer, who could be dropped immediately if his role sinks below 20 minutes per game.
