Despite playing just 22.1 minutes per game last season, Ware finished as a top 60 player, averaging 11.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.2 three-pointers and 1.9 combined steals and blocks. While it was, by all accounts, a successful season, Ware's managers were among the most frustrated, given his seemingly ever-changing role. Still only 22 years of age, Ware was traded to Milwaukee during the offseason as part of the Giannis Antetokounmpo deal. On the surface, this could provide Ware with the opportunity he needs to launch his career. While he will almost certainly exceed what he did last season in terms of playing time, there are a couple of questions regarding his exact role. It would seem as though the two options for Milwaukee are to start him at power forward, alongside Myles Turner, or to bring him off the bench as Turner's backup. The preseason should give us some insight as to which direction the team will go. Until then, managers are operating under the assumption that Ware will be playing a sizable role, making last season a relatively safe floor in terms of fantasy value. If he can carve out a 30-minute role for himself, Ware could end up being somewhat of a fantasy darling this season, with the top 30 certainly not out of the question. For right now, those wanting Ware on their team will have to start thinking about him in the fifth round of drafts.
