Bridges put together another 82-game season last year, continuing to be the most durable player in the NBA. He closed as the 43rd-ranked player, averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.9 three-pointers in 32.8 minutes per game. While it could certainly be considered a successful season, Bridges struggled down the stretch. In 27 appearances over the final two months of the regular season, he averaged just 11.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.4 three-pointers, barely making him a top 150 asset. In fact, in some competitive leagues, managers had no choice but to drop him to waivers. He redeemed himself during the NBA playoffs, where he ultimately played a massive role in New York winning the title. Coming into the 2026-27 season, it appears as though New York is going to run out basically the same roster, apart from losing Mitchell Robinson. Bridges will resume his role as the starting small forward, which should result in roughly 32 minutes per game. The question is, which version of Bridges will we see, the final two months of the regular season or the NBA playoffs? The answer could very well be somewhere in the middle, making him a relatively safe target in the middle rounds of most drafts, likely in the sixth or seventh round.
