Poole had a down year in the 2025-26 campaign, his first year with the Pelicans after spending the previous two with the Wizards. Poole was limited to just 38 regular-season appearances and eight starts last season, averaging just 13.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting just 37.2 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from three-point range. That was his lowest scoring output in the last five seasons, while the field-goal percentage was his lowest since his rookie year. Even though Poole can score from all three levels when he gets hot, it'd be wrong to consider him a reliable three-point shooter since he's made less than 34 percent of his threes in three of his last four seasons. With numbers and being part of a rebuilding New Orleans that will allocate minutes to younger and/or more productive backcourt options such as Dejounte Murray, Jeremiah Fears and Trey Murphy, Poole isn't expected to see enough playing time to be a reliable option in most fantasy formats, especially considering the way his career has been trending of late.
