Rivers' fourth year with the Rams in 2025 brought a new role, as he split kickoff return duties with Jordan Whittington and twice topped 100 yards in a game despite suiting up for only 11 regular-season contests. Rivers doesn't have much in the way of physical tools, running a 4.6 40-yard time at his combine at sub-200 pounds, but he's shown a three-down skill set and has made the most of his limited chances. The undrafted Fresno State product seems to have earned Sean McVay's trust, and while he has no real path to meaningful snaps on offense behind Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, Rivers has proven to be a useful 'break glass in case of emergency' option in the backfield.
