Adams scored 14 touchdowns in 14 regular-season games during his first season with the Rams. His reward? The team reportedly informed him early in the offseason that he might be traded. The idea, presumably, was to move on from Adams and bring in A.J. Brown, who is four and a half years younger. Adams, 33, is definitely past his prime, but it's not like he was strictly a TD threat last year. His per-route stats outside of the red zone -- 2.27 yards per route, 25.6 percent target rate -- were similar to his numbers there in 2023 (Raiders) and 2024 (Jets). The massive share of goal-line targets drove down Adams' overall YPT and catch rate, perhaps obscuring that he wasn't just a TD specialist. That said, he also wasn't his old self, which means the path to another productive fantasy season probably demands double-digit TDs again, or else Puka Nacua suffering an injury. It does seem the Rams intend to keep Adams, with recent reports suggesting New England is the new favorite to complete a trade with Philadelphia for Brown.
