On the surface, Marlon Humphrey has been one of the biggest playmaking cornerbacks over the last two seasons in Baltimore. During that time, he's registered 135 tackles (103 solo), eight tackles for loss, 28 passes defended and 10 interceptions in 31 games played. Despite that, Humphrey has been targeted 181 times and given up a 64.9% completion rate the last two seasons, with 1,427 and six touchdowns. There was speculation that Humphrey could be a cut candidate this offseason, but instead the Ravens chose to keep his veteran leadership while hoping that new head coach Jesse Minter and a revamped pass rush could help get him back on track in coverage. Humphrey's ability to generate turnovers has helped him finish as a top-15 defensive back in IDP scoring over the last two seasons, but that volatility makes him hard to trust, especially if his decline in coverage is age-related.
